A jump in global cocoa futures can make a farmer’s voice note sound like a simple market question. Yet a safe answer may depend on what happened in the field, when workers plan to return, and whether reviewed guidance exists for the chemical involved.

A market question can conceal a farm-safety decision
Kwaku appears to be asking whether higher futures prices mean he should harvest immediately. A careless voice system could explain the market move, offer generic encouragement, or treat “today” as the only important word.
None of those responses would settle the decision safely.
An international futures price does not automatically tell Kwaku what he will receive locally. More urgently, his question contains a hidden dependency: can people safely re-enter the sprayed field and handle the crop?
The correct next move is to uncover the missing context. What was applied? When was it applied? Has a qualified reviewer confirmed the re-entry interval and the pre-harvest interval for that product?

Later, Kwaku is still beside the sacks, but the crew has not entered the plot on the strength of a futures headline. He has photographed the label, confirmed where the local price information must come from, and placed the field decision with someone qualified to review the chemical details.
That ending is less dramatic than an instant voice answer. It is also more useful.
When a farmer asks a time-sensitive question, listen for the decision beneath the words. A market question may contain a worker-safety question. A request for speed may require one more fact. If reviewed guidance cannot support the answer, the next useful sentence is a clear reason to wait and a handoff to the person responsible for resolving it.
